Turning History Into Story

I grew up with my big extended family of eccentric Texas storytellers spinning yarns including my Grandmother, who was a poet.

I live in Evergreen, Colorado with my family and we share our land with elk, deer and fox. From our back deck we can see the sun rise in the mornings, first a deep orange turning to pink cloud and sky, a poet’s dream.

As an elementary school teacher-librarian, I wrote Prairie Journey as a mentor text for our 3rd grade history project. I currently enjoy working as a teen librarian, in addition to being a writer and author.

I love books, kids, and grown-ups of all ages, and especially love connecting one with the other.
