I guess most of us have weird dreams and mine is to write a historical fiction novel about Billy the Kid. When I was a young teen, my family visited Billy’s museum in Lincoln County, New Mexico. Because our family shared Billy’s name (Bonney), my father encouraged me to write about him. I don’t know that we are related to Billy, but he fascinates me.
In my research I have been trying to figure out how a kid like Billy, who started out as a good, bright, and talented kid, could become one of the most famous outlaws in history. That’s my story and I hope you’ll read it when it becomes available.
